Jackson Jeffcoat Announcement

Jeffcoat consistently stood out as a rare talent among high school players in Texas. He showcased his ability as a pass rusher despite double teams his senior year, recording 87 tackles (67 solo and 11 for loss), 8 1/2 sacks and 22 quarterback pressures. He also had two interceptions, three forced fumbles and two blocked kicks.

Jeffcoat narrowed that list in the past week down to Oklahoma, Texas and Houston. He’s ranked as the 12th-highest overall prospect in the country and No. 3 among defensive ends, according to Rivals.com.

After months of speculations and people claiming they knew what was on Jackson Jeffcoat’s mind, the man himself finally put an end to the long running suspense Friday morning, when he announced in the Plano West High School gymnasium in front of a cheering student body that he is going to be a Texas Longhorn. “It’s Official".
